A subway operator sees the same routes, same miserable people on their to work and same endless dark tracks for what it seems like an eternity. On his normal day in the control room, the operator sees something on the track and makes an emergency stop only to see his body and those of all passengers turned into toads.
Thinking that his human body has fallen into a stairway on the side of the subway track, the operator runs down and finds a dystopic world run by mysterious creatures. For the first time, the operator sees himself and what he has become.
